The importance of dedicating our children to the Lord

Dedicating our children to the Lord is one of the very first and most important things any parent can do for their child.
This past Sunday in church the Spirit of the Lord was focusing on the youth of this nation South Africa. We fell on our faces before the Lord and wept and cried out to the God of Mercy and Truth for our children in South Africa.
The Lord moved and the children started to sing. By instruction from the prophetic psalmist who lead the worship the children all gathered on stage and worshiped God. Some came with prophetic utterance and encouraged us as a church but also as words over themselves.
David understood this when he wrote in Psalm 8 Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants, You have ordained strength, because of Your enemies, to silence the enemy and the avenger.
God says  in Joel 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh, your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young me…

Jesus never fails

As many may have noticed, on my last page I wrote about faith and patience and clearly I wrote it to remind myself to push through in trusting for something. Well, I'd like to inform you, once again, Jesus was right and believing on Him paid off as it always does!

I was writing regarding one of my children and my battles as a mother and also a home schooling mom.
We felt the Lord lead us to take our children out of school in 2007 and from there on we have home educated them. It has been a bit of a bumpy road but a very blessed one none the less.
At the beginning of this year one of our children made it known they'd like to return to school. It was a confirmation for me as I had felt I need to have my child evaluated regarding their learning abilities. It turned out to be more devastating news than I had anticipated. My child was diagnosed with severe dyslexia to the point of borderline autism.
As the lady who diagnosed him is a Christian and very fervently guards against self…

Through Faith and Patience

Faith - Patience - Endurance - Perseverance = These go together.

We have hopes, desires, dreams and promises and as we go through life we expect to see these come to pass at some or other point. With us humans it's normally rather immediately than later.....
Isn't it just like us when we have an idea, or a promise or something that looks like it is a solution presented for a area of concern in our lives, that we want it immediately. Not a day later, a week, month, year or even years later, no, we want it and we want it now!
Doesn't God understand that our situation is desperate! Doesn't He get that we are suffering and struggling through every day!

How arrogant and ignorant.

On Friday last week I was invited to lecture at the very Bible College I had myself attended in 1996. The chapter in the manual I was given to lecture on was Faith (Fruit of the Spirit by Miracle Bible College). It was such a timely exercise on Gods part. As I was going through the chapter in prep…
